Mother’s Day is a day we celebrate the woman we call mother. She could be your aunt, grandmother, step mother or a special woman to you. She is not always your biological mother but the woman who guided you through life. Being a mother requires love and sensitivity towards you and your needs. Needs vary depending on your life style. A new outfit, skates, bicycle, mobile phone so your only a call away or something else special. Mother’s Day is the one day of the year you should celebrate her in a special way. You should love her everyday but this day is her special day. I always gave my mother something special I made and purchased something as I grew older. Her smile warmed my heart when she received my gift, the hug and kiss was the best bonus! We continued the tradition when I had my 2 daughters. Every year I received something special showing their love. One is in heaven now, so her gifts are different. My other daughter gives me something special each year putting thought into what I need or want.. The tradition is also with my granddaughter as I am her mother figure now. She has always made me a beautiful card every year and now being a young teen, she purchases little things along with her sweet card. As a mother, I can tell you why this holiday is so special to me and to so many mothers out there. It’s the one day out of the year devoted to our mothers and all they have done for us.. So please make it special for her. Raising children is not always easy for your mother and showing your appreciation on Mothers Day is well worth the happiness you give her and the warmth you fell by seeing how happy you’ve made her. Remember to give her something just for her and to make her feel loved.
Sadly, not everyone is fortunate to have a loving mother for many different reasons, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be for your children. It’s all about love, family and appreciation ????. Raise your children with lots of love and kisses, making your home a loving home. A home they will always feel love and call home. Teach them about Mothers Day so the tradition goes on.
Enjoy your loving holiday with your ‘mother’, she is looking forward to this holiday. If she has moved on pray Happy Mother’s Day to her ????
Mother’s Day is a tradition created by Anna Jarvis in Philadelphia on May 12, 1907
President Woodrow Wilson made it a national holiday in 1914.
